I'm a feminist... no, really.

See? I have this poster to prove it!

Okay, so I don't really have this poster. I don't know about you - but where I attended college, the professors like to use their office doors like car bumpers...

no, they don't smash them into other doors. They decorate the doors to better reflect their inner selves. This little number caught my eye on a recent trip to my alma mater.

Up the Down Staircase

It may be difficult to see from the photos, but this is a ramp... with stairs at the top. So I hope you're not in a wheelchair.

Two Buck....

Originally from 5/22/2009:

Most Californians (or anyone else who has Trader Joe's Markets) know about Two Buck Chuck, the mystery cheap wine.

Well, in Wallgreens the other day, I had to pick up this $2 Choc. Yes, yes, that IS 14 oz of chocolate.

Note the "Flavored" under the Milk Chocolate label:

*** UPDATE *** 06/15/2009 ***

Thanks to my friend K.S. I went into Walgreens today, and GUESS WHAT?!?!

Mini Crapper

I like Mini Coopers. In fact, as far as car lust goes, I love them.

But seriously... if you want cool ground effects on YOUR Mini, at least get the kit that has a real grill - and not lick 'em - stick 'ems:

seriously.

Steaming Pile of...

I know, I know... the truck is "so hot it's WHITE HOT!! Like with WHITE HOT FLAMES AND STUFF!!!"

But to me, it just looked like steam. Yes, steam.... issuing forth from a steaming pile of what the American Automobile Industry has become.

Parking Problems

You may notice a bit of an occassional theme on this blog.

I am a parking snob.

I go to great efforts to park within the lines. And I don't think it is asking too much for others to do the same. We have parking spots for a reason.

Two weeks ago at church... curb? what curb?

I figured it was a one time deal, so I took the picture. Yah, not so much.

Fast forward a week. Repeat offender. And you can't tell from this angle, but the right front wheel is completely in the grass.

Feline Gender Identity Crisis

Not sure which I like more - the unknown gender, or the optional names... as if a cat would actually answer when called anyway.

Maybe if it was a cool car

This is probably some big joke that, not being a South Park fan, I don't get. But google didn't turn up anything for Cartman + Saturn.

I guess when you love South Park and you love Saturn... there's just nothing else to do.

Windmill Fin or Giant Butter Knife?

I can't say for sure what this is. I just know that it was so long it took me a few MINUTES to pass it on the freeway. It was headed north toward Wyoming where they grow wind... so perhaps it is part of a really big windmill.

You know you live in the Ghetto when...

The stethoscope is chained to the table.

Road Rage

No wonder people are so angry on the roads...

This bus was in front of me this morning.

Is it bad luck if the evil-satan-devil-bus crosses your path? Like a black cat?

I hope not.

Tasty Treats

There is a time and a place for everything. And something about this just doesn't seem right:

What is that on top of the toilet paper dispenser you ask?

Who doesn't eat milky way and baby ruth while they poop? And knowing the people I work with, those candy bars will stay there for months.

Is this even legal?

If I were an officer of the law... I would pull this person over for having and obstructed rear window. I would, of course, also mock this person's narrow minded hatred... but it would start with the obstructed window.

The Right Tool for the Right Job?

I don't think GM had this in mind when they designed the Camaro.

NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT

I truly don't like either main stream candidate, so this is not an endorsement one way or another. Really... I don't think either of them is the right choice. But having said that, the following, from the back window of a Honda Civic in Northern Denver, is a bit of a stretch:

Is Target a target without a target?

High Brow Meets Low Brow

No Really... I Get It. Sure, your Jaguar has a long snout-shaped hood. I can hear the conversation now:

Dude: "Tee hee. Ha ha. Get it? the hood looks like the nose...on... the... Wylie...Coyote...headlights look like fingernails... peeking... over..."

Me: "yah... really.... we ALL get it."

Do you?

UAW Secret Plot?

Is the American Automobile establishment sneaking around blowing up Toyota Priii?

(is the plural for Prius, "Priuses? or Priii?)

Nope. No such conspiritorial luck. This is a prop from a film.

You Know People Like Your Book When...

The Quad

Sometimes four beef patties and five slices of cheese sounds like a GREAT idea. Not just your regular sized patties either. These are 6" patties - it is a BIG burger.

So as long as the idea belongs to some one else, you just cheer them on. And yes, the guy with the idea... actually ate the whole thing. Ugh.

At First Glance...

You may not notice anything funny about this. There are entire websites dedicated to the theme

"You're Doing it Wrong"

Here's my contribution to the you're-doing-it-wrong-inter-webber-nets:

Accurate Colloquialism?

I guess so. People will do anything to sell me a vegetable.

I Dislike Moths

No, really. I don't like them. So for these to be hanging on my house when I cam home one day... I was unhappy. I put them in a box and fed them to my chickens. I felt better after that.

ALL WAY

Sometimes I wonder if President Bush is aware that people are so unhappy with him that they resorting to this. This isn't from New York or California... this little number is from a sleepy street in suburban Michigan.

1963

These two pictures aren't necessarily funny. But if you stop and talk to the guy who owns this car, he'll talk to you for well over an hour about cigarette burns in the original upholstery and 1960's teenage sexcapades. Oh yah, it's a 63 Chrysler Imperial.

Your Boat is Nicer Than My Car

On second thought... the skiis in this boat are nicer than my car.

Square Peg

I guess this will still work, but I'm not sure it's exactly what the engineers had in mind.

Value Shopper

Why use one parking spot, when you can take up two for the same price?

Story:
A few months ago, while at lunch, I saw this. I thought to myself:

"That's interesting, that police officer must have been in a hurry to park crooked like that"

Forty minutes later, on my way back from lunch, the car was still there. So I doubled back and took the picture. This sweet parking choice wasn't for a lack of space. There were AT LEAST 35 spots in the lot... but none were at the front door like this one.

Perhaps there was some kind of emergency, and this heroic police officer was the first responder. And I'd like to believe that his/her car is still taking up TWO handicapped spaces because he/she is still inside providing some kind of life saving service to the school.

But I have a sinking feeling that dude was just lazy and didn't want to huff it more than 15 ft. to the entrance.
